Last week, Out of Bounds kicked off its life in theaters with an extraordinary world premiere and gala at Seattle's Pacific Science Center! The event was hosted by film sponsor Roxy, and was attended by the film’s stars, Australian snowboarding Olympian Torah Bright and extreme freeskier Sammy Carlson. The film elicited applause and cheers from an adoring audience. The excitement for the film continued during the Q&A, which attendees did not want to end.
On the heels of the PacSci’s successful launch, the California Science Center in Los Angeles will be premiering Mountain Adventure: Out of Bounds on March 27, 2020. On Saturday, March 28, outdoor retailer REI, North Lake Tahoe, Roxy, Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, IKON and the U.S. Forest Service will come together to host an exciting snow-themed event (Mountain Adventure Experience) to generate buzz and excitement around the film’s launch. A heavy advance publicity and multi-faceted e-mail and social media campaign leading up to the event is planned. The one-day event will include real snow adjacent the theater with avalanche education, a rescue dog and trainer and the opportunity to find hidden avalanche beacons in the snow.
There will also be an ice carving demo, high tech snow products and ski wear demonstrations, a ski/snowboard waxing demo and environmental educational materials and activities. During the afternoon there will be four public screenings of the film introduced by featured character, Olympic Gold Medalist Torah Bright. Many prizes will be given away to guests entering the contest, including 2 for 1 ski passes and a weekend at The Village at Squaw Valley.
